Best Weekend EVER!!!! [07 Oct 2005|07:04pm]
[ mood | loved ]

That's right, I've finally finished the blog about the most amazing weekend EVER!!! And it was so much more amazing then I ever could have imagined it being... Here's the recap, going to be a long post, so either bear with me or just skip the text and look at the photos =P

It was a rough day for me. The week over-all was pretty stressful with two huge exams. My calculus exam Friday morning was the hardest test I've ever taken. It didn't help at all that I could not concentrate cuz I was too busy counting down the hours until my flight. After chem was over, I went back to the dorm and finished packing up, then did my homework. Band practice was cancelled the day before by my hero, Mr. Ellis. That made my life 50 times less stressful. Jess got back from her last class and then we drove to Orlando International. It's definitely the coolest airport I've ever seen.

My flight left at 7pm. I flew Song by Delta. It was the cheapest flight and definitely the coolest I've been on, so good deal for me =) They had TVs on the back of every seat and in flight trivia games to play with the other passengers on the TV screens. And free music and satellite TV. And decent (if over priced) food. Highly recommended by me!

After the plane touched down in LA I was practically jumping up and down as I got off the plane. I got on the escalator and started down towards where you pick up baggage and the first people I saw were Daniel and Jacie because Kyle was pacing while waiting for me. They point to him and he comes out from behind a pillar and glances up at the escalator and then looks back and realizes it was me and stops and just stares and smiles. I get off the escalator and go to him and give him a huge hug... it was surreal. He said I look even more beautiful in person =D Awww soooo sweet!!

Then Daniel and Jacie drove us to the hotel in Van Nuys and dropped us off. We checked in and crashed there for the night. We stayed up almost all night just talking about how unbelievable it was that I was actually there and we had finally met.

We woke up the next morning and Jacie came and picked us up from the hotel. We all went back to Jacie's house and hung around there until Nike got there and there was a Laguna Beach reunion between her and Jacie. It was cute =P Then they went to a Polish food fair or something and Kyle and I borrowed Jacie's car and went to the Town Center (Santa Clarita Valley Mall) and walked around the mall for a little while. Then we went to Johnny Rocket's and had some burgers. Kyle was having problems eating his =P We played "She's Lost That Loving Feeling" on the jukebox and Top Gun quickly became the theme of the weekend.

After lunch we went back to Daniel and Kyle's house and I gave him the first part of his birthday present, which was, oddly enough, the Top Gun DVD. So we hung out at his house and watched the first part of the movie. Then we went and picked up Jacie and went to a resturaunt called Islands. We had dinner there with a whole bunch of friends... the two of us, Jacie, Daniel, CJ, Sarah, Tall, Nike, Dominick (Nike's brother), and Corey. It was fun and yummy.

After dinner we went back to Jacie's to pick up some extra stuff before we headed off to the guys' house again and pick up all of their stuff. Then Kyle and I took Jacie's car and Jacie drove with Daniel and we all drove out to the beach at like 9 at night after a quick pit stop for gas and some snacks. Then we drove around completely lost in the Marine Layer cuz we couldn't see through the mist at all and we were following Daniel who had no idea where he was going.

We finally found someplace to camp out at about 10:30 after making a kajillion u-turns (hereafter referred to as "pulling a daniel"). We parked the cars off the side of the road and the guys pulled the tent out of the back of Jacie's car and found a place to camp out on the beach next to a house made of washed up wood. Daniel was crazy and was walking around barefoot on all of the driftwood. Insane. The guys spent the better part of half an hour trying to set up the two-room tent without any instructions and only one flashlight. Meanwhile, Jacie and I had some female bonding time sitting on the rocks up above them watching and laughing at how how silly our boyfriends are. In the words of Kyle, "We provided you shelter so you cannot complain." Anyways, Jacie and I actually talked a lot and got pretty close in a short amount of time, it was awesome. We went down the rocks using the light from Jacie's cell phone and watched the guys fumble around. Once they finally got the tent set up, we worked our way back up to where the cars were and we all started carrying the stuff back down and got settled in for the night. Let me tell you one thing, the beaches in Cali are COLD... Nothing at all like Florida beaches... but it was kind of a cool change. The stars out at the beach were amazing, so many more than we have here, so Kyle and I stood outside bundled up in sweatshirts and just watched them for a while. Camping on the beach was probably one of the most relaxing things I've done in a long long time.

We all woke up the next morning and sat around being lazy for a while. Kyle and I went for a "long walk on the beach" (oh how romantic ;P) and Daniel and Jacie went running around like crazy people playing football and such. Then Kyle and I went back and sat in the tent with the window open and watched these crazy mexicans try to fly. Yes, fly. They had parasails... and huge fans attached to their backs. And they turned the fan on and tried to fly. To our extreme surprise, one of them actually got it to work, it was pretty crazy looking. The other ones just kinda sucked. *Take 16* Hehe, it was pretty funny.

We finally got around to taking the tent apart and Jacie and I actually helped that time. We shoved everything back into the cars and I took some pictures as we were leaving the beach...

Daniel knew of some really good place for breakfast right near where we were so that's where we headed off to. After half an hour and pulling several more "Daniels," we finally found this little tiny resturaunt off the highway. The food was AMAZING. Definitely the perfect ending to our camping trip. Daniel provided entertainment while we were waiting for everything by showing us his skills... "artwork"

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Oh yeah, such skills =P After breakfast we got back on the road and headed back to SCV. We swung by Valencia HS for a little bit to see if anyone was there but no one was so we went back to the house. Everyone took showers to get rid of the beach and then just bummed around the house for a while. I gave Kyle his little UCF bear that I bought him as another part of his present and then he showed me a whole bunch of pictures from when he was little, then a few of middle school and then a whole bunch from jrotc. So cute =P

Later that night we went to a resturaunt called Claim Jumpers with Daniel and Jacie and Kyle's dad and stepmom. (Yes, I met the parents. Scary.) While we were waiting for a table there was this game sitting in the resturaunt that was supposed to tell you how crazy of a lover you are... You hold the handle and it tells you. Daniel and Jacie both got the lowest level and then Kyle got "mild" and I got "wild"... what can I say? 0;) Then we sat down and ate dinner and it was awesome. Kyle's dad kept asking me a whole bunch of questions because Kyle "hid" me for a year. Yup, his dad just found out about me a few weeks ago hehe. Vicki (stepmom) was hilarious, she still acts like a little kid and it was really funny. She got a kick out of Daniel's artwork, she was absolutely fascinated lol. After dinner, Daniel tried the game again and practically broke the machine cuz he was squeezing the handle so hard so that he got the top level, it was pretty funny. Silly marine.

Kyle hadn't finished his sandwich at the resturaunt so he had leftovers. Somehow, his dad ended up with them as we were walking out. So we all said goodbye to his dad and Vicki and get in the car and Kyle was like "HURRY UP before he realizes he has my leftovers!!" So Daniel stepped on the gas and peeled out of the parking lot right as Kyle's dad starts turning back towards us holding the leftovers out. We almost died laughing, omg it was hilarious. We all go back to the guys' house and Kyle and I try to finish watching Top Gun but the TV was being retarded so we gave up and ended up just talking. Somewhere in there, I slipped two books (one about the marines and one about aviation) onto his bookshelf. He really liked them =D Then I had to go to Jacie's house and spend the night there. That was the weirdest part of the entire weekend because except for those couple of hours at her house that night, Kyle and I were together literally 24 hours a day. It was so hard to say goodnight and just leave.

Jacie set up an improv bed for me on her floor and I started to drift off. Then all of a sudden I subconciously notice somthing scratching my back. I wake up and flip out and realized it was one of Jacie's cats. Then I realized that not only had it been scratching me, it had been using me as its personal bathroom. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! So I get up, flip out, go into the bathroom and change and try to get the stench of cat pee off of me and then Jacie and I had to come up with another improv bed since that one was ruined. Jacie threw my clothes in the wash so that they didn't continue to smell like her cat. GROSS. Then we made sure the door was SHUT before we went back to sleep. Yuck, not fun stuff lmao. Stupid cat =(

ANYWAYS. We wake up the next morning and Kyle came over after he dropped Daniel off at the radio station. Jacie made us cinnamon rolls and we had them with milk while we watched Pablo Francisco. That guy is freaking hilarious! "SI!" After that Kyle went outside in Jacie's backyard. The view is incredible... So I took pictures =D

We were outside for a while just looking out at the view. It was a pretty big deal since the highest hill I'm used to is a landfill they made into a park back home. Lovely huh? This was much more romantic ;) It was an aboslutely beautiful day outside. No clouds, perfect temperature, a little bit of a breeze. In other words, nothing like Orlando weather.

We eventually drove out to Valencia HS again and went to go visit everyone in the JROTC building there. It was nice finally meeting a bunch of the people that Kyle always talked about. Then he got his rifle out to "show me up." We had also brought two pieces of firewood from his house so that we could mess around with those too. The rifles are pretty heavy but I don't think it would be that hard. I still like mine a lot more because you can do so much more with it. By the way, the firewood he has is retarded. It shaped all weird with no strap or anything. I can't wait to show him up on normal firewood, ours kicks butt ;) We hung out at the jrotc room for a few hours and then stopped by his dad's room real quick to drop off a check or something. Then we stopped at In-N-Out... evidently the epitomy of SoCal-ishness. I got a double-double. Pretty good, I don't usually like fastfood burgers. And really good chocolate milkshake too =D But since we stopped to get food, we were a little late picking Daniel up from the radio station... oops... After we picked him up, we headed back to the house and hung out there for a while. We went out in the backyard and messed around with firewood for a couple hours and Kyle brought down his sabre. Not as dull as ours since it isn't meant to be spun, but it was weighted just about right, so I spun it anyways. Kinda hurt...

After we were done spinning, Kyle went upstairs to go get changed and while I was waiting, Daniel convinced me to try out his IndoBoard thing... balance trainer, you stand on it like a surfboard. Scary as nobody's business, but Daniel kinda held me up so I wouldn't fall and break something. He's really good at it, but I think that's cuz he practices entirely too much =P After Kyle walked downstairs looking all spiffy in his nice pants and black dress shirt, we took Daniel's truck and drove over to Jacie's house so I could change into a black skirt and a nice white top. We looked hott (yes, with a double T).

We drove to Sisley in the town center. Cross Olive Garden with the Cheesecake Factory and you get Sisley. We walked in and everyone in the resturaunt stopped and looked at us cuz we just looked that good. Okay, so that didn't really happen, but we like to pretend it did... we knew we looked awesome and that's all that really matters ;P We sat down and had a nice candle-lit dinner: we split bruschetta, a salad, and chicken parm. Goooood stuff. Of course we both liked all of the same things. Part of our amazing amount of things we have in common, it's pretty crazy. We had some nice long conversations and awesome food and all that jazz. It was my birthday dinner from him even though it was his birthday the next day. Speaking of which... (THIS IS A SECRET)... I talked to the waitresses when I got up to go to the bathroom and they were supposed to bring him a birthday cake and sing to him but they said they were all out =( I was so mad! Oh well, it's the thought that counts, right??

After dinner we drove over to Terry's house... She's Kyle's adopted mother and she really wanted to meet me so we stopped by. Evidently I'm adopted-mother approved as well as the actual parents... and Jacie's parents. And Daniel's... I guess I'm okay for Kyle to keep =D Terry asked what we were gonna go do and she gave Kyle an idea. So after we left her house, we drove over to a place called Whites Canyon. We parked the car in a development and then we took a little walk across the street and then down a narrow dirt path. You get to the end of the path and it's an overlook of most of the Santa Clarita Valley. And it was dark so you could just look out and see the lights for miles and miles. Not to mention the stars were nice (not as good as the beach, but still better than here) and it was freezing outside. So Kyle had to keep me warm. Darn, how upsetting! His dad called we were out there so we both talked to him for a while. I call him "Dad" and he calls me "Daughter," it's pretty funny. Then we went back to enjoying the amazing view. I wish we had views like that down here. The only place high enough is Iron Mountain and it's closed after sundown :( Anyways, here are the pictures from Whites Canyon Overlook...

After I was thoroughly frozen from standing outside for so long, we walked back to the truck and just sat there talking for a while. All of the sudden Kyle's like "Hold on," and turns the radio (which had been barely playing in the background) up so that he can hear it. Turns out Daniel had left (on purpose) the Jack Johnson CD in his CD player. The CD had played through at least twice sinde we had been in the truck, but we had never paid much attention. The first song is called "Better Together" and it is basically our relationship in a song. It was so perfect so he started it over and we listened to it again and were amazed by how much it fit...

"Better Together" by Jack Johnson

There's no combination of words
I could put on the back of a postcard
No song that I could sing
But I can try for your heart
Our dreams--they are made out of real things
like a shoebox of photographs
with sepiatone loving
Love is the answer,
at least for most of the questions in my heart
Like why are we here? and where do we go?
And how come its so hard?
It's not always easy as
sometimes life can be deceiving
I'll tell you one thing it's always better when we're together

MMM its always better when we're together
Yea we’ll look at the stars when we're together
well its always better when we're together
Yeah, its always better when we're together

And all of these moments
just might find their way into my dreams tonight
But I know that they’ll be gone
when the morning light sings
and brings new things
but tomorrow night you see
that they’ll be gone too
too many things I have to do
But if all of these dreams might find their way
into my day to day scene
Ill be under the impression
i was somewhere in between
With only two
Just me and you
Not so many things we got to do
or places we got to be
We'll Sit beneath the mango tree

yea its always better when we're together
Somewhere in between together
well its always better when we're together
Yeah, its always better when we're together

MMmmmm MMMmmmm Mmmmmm
I believe in memories
they look so, so pretty when I sleep
Hey now, and when I wake up,
you look so pretty sleeping next to me
But there is not enough time,
and there is no, no song I could sing
and there is no, combination of words I could say
but I will still tell you one thing
We're Better together...

The song has joined Top Gun with the theme of the weekend... it was just so perfect for us. We listened to it a couple more times and then realized something really really bad... I had no idea how I was getting to the airport the next morning. We called Daniel. We couldn't use his truck. We called Jacie. We couldn't use her car cuz she was working. We called Kyle's dad, who could take us to the FlyAway bus station in Van Nuys which would then take us to the airport, but he'd have to get us at 5:30 in the morning... So we called Jacie again to see if Kyle could stay at her house for the night so Kyle's dad could just pick us both up from there, but she said no. So we were at a loss. We ended up calling the hotel near Magic Mountain cuz it was on Kyle's dad's way so he wouldn't have to pick us up until 6. Luckily they let 18 year olds get rooms with out a parent checking them in, unlike the Holiday Inn we stayed in the first night... We drove to Jacie's house and then her and Daniel, who was already at her house, drove us to the hotel so I could say goodbye to my 2 new totally awesome friends. After they left, Kyle checked us in since it was after midnight so he was officially 18 =D Then we crashed to try and get at least a few hours of sleep.

Kyle's dad called us at about 5:45 Tuesday morning... and said "I'll be there in two minutes, are you ready to go?" We were like, wait, what?! We had set the alarm for 5am... but it turns out that the clock was 12 hours off.... so it said 5:45pm when his dad called. So we had literally two minutes to change and pack all of our stuff up and go downstairs and check out of the hotel. I have never moved that fast that early in the morning.

Kyle's dad got there a few minutes later and we piled into his van... two seats up front with a whoooooooooooole bunch of stuff in the back. I felt so bad for Kyle, he had to sit on top of a pile of the stuff in the back for the entire ride to Van Nuys :( We got to the FlyAway at about 6:30am so we bought tickets and caught the 6:45 bus. I leaned on Kyle and slept almost the whole way to the airport *yawn* We got there at about 7:30 and my flight didn't even start boarding until 9:40 so we had nothing to do for a very long time. LAX sucks, theres nowhere to go unless you have a boarding pass and we wanted food. Across the street from the airport is the LAX resturaunt which is this huge tower and the resturaunt is at the top and it rotates as you eat. Unfortunately, that resturaunt was closed. Kyle asked some employee walking by where we could find something to eat and she led us to this hidden cafe thing on the ground level. We got some breakfast and sat down and ate/talked for a while. Afterwards we started back over towards the terminal. We went in on the ground level, which is for arrivals and then walked towards the stairs. Kyle stopped me at one point and said, "This is where the most amazing moment of my life took place." I looked around and looked back at him and he said, "This is where I met you for the first time..." I swear my heart melted. I love him sooooooooooo much!!!

We walked back upstairs and still had more than half an hour left until I had to start boarding. We sat down and just held each other and waited. When it was time for me to go, neither one of us wanted to let go. I did not want to get back on the plane, and if it wasn't for school, I don't think I would have. Kyle was ready to buy a ticket and fly back with me and "wing it" once he got here, but I couldn't let him do that, as much as I wanted to... I was so down the entire plane ride home. I listened to the same few songs on repeat the entire flight, the songs that reminded me of him. Leaving him was definitely the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and I felt stupid for letting something so perfect just slip away like that... But I know that everything will be back to the way it should be once he moves down here next year, so it's just a matter of waiting.

And both of us know that it will be more than worth the wait...

Clubbing [09 Sep 2005|07:41pm]
[ mood | crazy ]

So last night was my first night clubbing, soooo much fun :)

At about 10:45 Jess and I went downstairs and got in Mark's little box (Honda Element) along with Zach, Eric, and Jesse (who was shoved in the back/trunk area because of lack of seats). Then Ashley, John, Ben, and Natalie were in Ben's car behind us. We all went to ladies night at Club Paris downtown. It was $5 to get in and I have these huge Xs on the backs of my hand in permanent marker that will NOT come off, but oh well.

When we first got there it was pretty lame. That is mostly because the DJ was horrible for the first 30 minutes =P The music he was playing was stuff that no one there had ever heard before so everyone was just kinda standing around except for a few girls that were already drunk and were on top of the speakers dancing... In fact, because everyone was just standing around, they had the football game on the big screen as the only source of entertainment... how sad!

Around midnight things started to pick up. Reason being the DJ started playing music everyone actually recognized =P The couples of course danced together and then Mark/Jess and Zach/me. We got some drinks after a while... just water since the huge Xs stopped us from getting much else hehe. Went back to dancing and some random people came up and started dancing with me.. whatever lol. We stayed there until around one-ish, since that was the deal, Jess and I didn't want to be home too late since we both had class this morning at 9:30. As we were leaving, this pretty drunk guy goes to grab me and start dancing and I'm like "no, I'm leaving" and he blocks my path out. So, knowing that this guy is a little tipsy, I take care of it relatively well... He's blocking my path, so I put my hand on his shoulder like I might dance with him and keep walking, and totally push him out of the way. He was all like "You're just gonna leave me like that?!" and I kept walking. I heard him get a TON of crap from his friends for that one, kinda funny actually.

So we finally work our way OUT of the club (took a while) and end up walking around downtown Orlando looking for the parking garage that Mark's car is in for at least 20 minutes. We eventually find the car and Zach gets shoved in the back this time. I later felt really bad for Zach being stuck back there... We got SO LOST. Took half an hour to find our way back to I-4... and we somehow cannot find any highway to take us back to the University. I guess we were already east of them. And we continued driving east, totally not knowing where we were heading. Finally I see a sign that says "434" and I'm like "WAIT, 434 is Alafaya!" So we get off and head south... east... ish. And we drive. And keep driving. And keep driving. And no one has any idea if we are heading in the right direction. So Mark pulls off at this gas station and asks a guy who works there for directions. The guy has NO CLUE what is going on and agrees with everything that Mark suggests. Thanks for the help =P So we continue down 434 on this road that I THINK is going to turn into Alafaya... eventually. And we keep driving. Finally we pull off at another gas station and ask someone else. Mark gets out of the car, goes into the station and entertains the other 5 of us with his animated gestures (it was like watching a silent movie) and then comes back and points at me and says "You are GOOD." Turns out we were heading in the right general direction :) 434 DOES turn into Alafaya... it just connects with I-4 about 45 minutes north of UCF... If we had kept going on I-4 we would have ended up spending the night with Cam, Jay and Bryan in Daytona lmao... So another 15 minutes or so and we finally make it back to civilization that we are familiar with. So now it's about 3 in the morning and we decided to go for pizza. We went to Lazy Moon, but it was packed so we went to another pizza place about 3 stores down and got 2 pizzas for $20... not bad :) So we eat, get entertained by some drunk person who had come over to eat after The Library closed, and finally head home at 3:30 or so... Yeah... so much for not being out late.

I set my alarm for 8 this morning. Hit snooze a few times. Finally got up at 8:30 to get ready for Speech... I wish I could have skipped but the prof. takes attendance and we had a quiz in there today. Jess however, did NOT wake up ;) She definitely skipped chem class this morning. Oh well, lucky her.

So anyways, I'm DEAD TIRED after less than 4 hours of sleep. Clubbing on a Thursday night probably was not the best idea. But oh man was it worth it... Good times, good times...

And of course, the neccessary pictures ;)

My 18th Birthday... [06 Sep 2005|05:50am]
[ mood | thankful ]

Wow, this was definitely the best birthday weekend ever :)

Started out Thursday...
Daniel and I went to the Alehouse to watch the UCF game on ESPN... They lost (surprise!) but it was fun hanging out and finally meeting him in person. Then I went back and watched the rest of the game in the dorms. Then I went downstairs and did laundry. At midnight, I had 4 different people call me to wish me Happy Birthday, including Jed who sang me a horrid rendition of the Happy Birthday song which I put on speakerphone so that everyone else doing laundry could hear him make a fool out of himself too :P He got a standing ovation from them. Of course they were already standing, but it was funny none the less.

Fridays suck for me. Period. Honors speech, Calc 2, Intro to Engineering, Chemistry for Engineers.... FUNNNNN. Ummm no. But afterwards Jed took me to Subway (big spender ) for my birthday lunch. Then I went to Joanne's and bought a few yards of really pretty dark green satin fabric and gold cording for... you guessed it... TOGA! I was almost late for band practice cuz the cashier at the store was retarded, so I had to run from the parking lot to the dorm, change and run from the dorm to the practice field and got there about 2 seconds before Reg would have marked me late... Practice went well, we finished putting the rest of the Santana show on the field, fun stuff. Afterwards I took a shower and got all purty and then Jay and Bryan got here from Daytona and took me out to dinner. Cam and AJ and Aaron were supposed to come over. Cam wasn't feeling up to it and I guess the other guys just chickened out =P Anyways, they took me out to Olive Garden, yummy! Dinner was a blast, you know you're going to have a good time with those guys, they are hilarious <3 Bryan told a waitress it was my birthday when he went to the bathroom so I got surprised with an awesome chocolate cake and the whole Olive Garden Happy Birthday song thing. Woohoo! Good times, good times.

After dinner we went back to the dorms where Jeff, who had also come over from Daytona (but on his bike), was waiting for us. Then we all hung out for a little while and then changed into our togas :D I definitely had the hottest toga, but the guys said I cheated by being more attractive to begin with. Oh well, whatever works, right? Hehehe... We got to the party around 11ish. There were already tons of people there. Met up with Mandy, Kelly, and Keven right away, introduced them to the guys. Saw Maleigha (Bryan was trying to remember her name ALL NIGHT and couldn't to save his life) and Tom and a bunch of the other guard girls. Brandon and Josh and Katie got there later. I won't go into too many details... The gist of it is that I got pretty smashed for the first time ever. However it took me about 6 shots worth of alcohol to get there, not too bad for the first time, huh? =P I found out that I'm a very talkative, repetitive, friendly, funny, and VERY entertaining drunk, and I had an awesome time. Even better, I remember all of it and even woke up the next morning without a hangover. "I need a glass of water, Jay." The guys went home at about 11 the next morning. Picture of this amazing event are seriously lacking. I will have some of me and Kelly and Mandy eventually, they will be posted as soon as I get them. If you have any others, DEFINITELY let me know! Thanks!

After waking up much earlier than I though I was going to, I got moving and headed home around 2:15. Got home at about 5:30ish, and much to my sister's dismay, was there before mom and Lauren got home from the store. Oh well. I got lots of balloons and cake and brownies and other various things to make me gain the freshman 15. And there was much rejoicing... yaaaaay... (LOL @ Meg) I got a reallly pretty necklace from the rents... Click here to see it... I got some clothes and accessories from PacSun from Lauren, some very cute stuff. At 8 we went and picked up Lucy and began the 40 minute trek to the best resturaunt ever. On the way I opened up a pretty hand made glass rose from Lucy :) We finally got to the Mai Kai at 8:45ish and waited around in the bar til our reservations at 9. While waiting for my strawberry daquiri, we decided to go take some pictures... (Yup its that time of the post, PICTURE TIME!)

We finally went to go sit down around 9:10ish and ordered food. I got Teriyaki Chicken and ate some of the Pupu Platter we ordered. What a funny name :P Then the dancers came out and did a whole huge hula dancing show and fire spinning and polynesian drumming and all that good stuff. Okay enough of the chat, here are the rest of the pictures:

Sunday was family day. Drove down to Miami with Mom and Lauren to go visit everyone down there. First thing we did was go shopping at BJs... Up and down EVERY isle... my favorite thing to do. I hate shopping, I know, weird for a girl, but it's the truth. Between my mom and my grandparents, we about bought the entire store out. After that we all went over to the Roadhouse right near there and met up with my aunt and uncle and two other cousins. It was crazy, as all get togethers with my mom's side of the family are, but it was fun. Got more cake, presents, etc. Good times :P And I got to hang out with all my little cousins, always entertaining hehe. Okay it's time for more pictures!

I also have a video of the craziness in that house, click the picture if you want to see it  =P

Sunday night was lotsa fun, I went home and crashed for a while and then Blake sent me an IM seeing if I wanted to come over. So I drove over to his house and met up with him, Meag, Mike, Lucy, Madison, Richard, Joey, Farah, Lauren, and Charlotte. We had some good times =P Shot a bunch of games of pool, played some darts, played cards with Richard's playboy deck (Lucy had fun criticizing every single one of those cards), and got into a gigantic whipped cream fight. Way to trash Blake's kitchen! It was fun though. Got an amazing video of that one, quite hilarious. Click the picture to watch it...

Monday I procrastinated, ran a bunch of errands, and then drove home. I think I ran into about 4 hurricanes last night on the drive home, it was CRAZY. Couldn't see a thing whatsoever, I guess it's Tropical Depression #16's fault... Speaking of which, where did that come from?!?! Anyways, I digress. Back to the topic, this was definitely the best birthday weekend I've ever had, and I'd just like to thanks EVERYONE that made it possible... you guys ROCK MY WORLD!!!

Much love

MOVING DAY!!! [10 Aug 2005|10:00am]
[ mood | excited ]

Wow... I can't believe it. I officially move out of my house today. To Orlando. To college. To a life without the restrictions of living under the roof of my parents.

It's surreal. I can't say that I'm going to miss this much. I'll miss the people, especially the guard. I will even miss my family once I'm not around them as much. I won't miss the place. It's boring here. I won't miss the "good times"... I'll have more in college than I EVER had here without a doubt. In fact this summer was pretty disappointing. I talk to everyone else and they all had completely awesome summers, and are all so upset that it's already over. Nothing all that great happened. Didn't go to any AMAZING parties... Either wasn't allowed or wasn't invited. Didn't go out of the country or even the state... Went to Orlando for DCI with Heather which was cool but that was it in the vacation department. I'll miss dance classes, both the dancing and the people I took the classes with. But really, that's it...

I met up with some friends the other day from high school. They asked how my summer had been. I said boring, they said "Oh that sucks. You should have come out with us more often." Then they proceeded to whisper about plans they were making for that night. I was not invited. I need new friends... But hey, that's what college is for, right?

I have so much to look forward that this is the first time I've ever really looked back on this summer and what it's been like. I'm moving in with an amazing roommate and we are going to run UCF this year. We have loads in common and we have the same priorities with school and partying so it will work out great. And we are two "relatively attractive girls," right Jess? xoxox

Guard camp starts tomorrow (Thursday the 11th). I miss spinning, even if it's only going to be basic flag work, at least I will be performing again, and this time in front of 20,000 people every week. It's exciting =D Then Winterguard tryouts are the 27th and 28th of August... WISH ME LUCK!!! I will be the happiest person alive if I get the opportunity to march with The Knights World Class Winterguard... So nervous but so excited.

I turn 18 on September 2nd.... FINALLY... Then I'm all about clubbing...So definitely hit me up if you want to do that. I might even do the lottery thing once in a while. The state can keep their 18 & over cigarettes.

The last day in September will be the beginning of the best 5 days EVER. Flying out to California to visit Kyle for his 18th birthday which is October 4th... Flying home on his birthday after what is sure to be an incredible weekend. That's probably what I'm looking forward to most about my first semester in college =)

A few days after I get home from Cali, Elliot is coming down from Virginia to visit the campus. Kinda. We're gonna hang out and be total nerds for a few days... What do you expect from two of the youngest members of www.xprizenews.org???

The last day of October... Halloween. Usually my favorite holiday of the year, although this year that award goes to Kyle's birthday hehe. Anyways, Halloween = vampire time for me.. Always fun. It also marks the beginning of KNIGHTMARE.... UCF's homecoming week for 2005. Can you say "CRAZY Halloween Parties"?!?! Definitely looking forward to Homecoming this year a LOT. Gonna be sooo much fun.

November doesn't have too much exciting stuff going on yet... Goin home for Turkey Day... Allowed to bring some people home with me which will be fun.

December 10th is my last day of exams and then the 11th I move back home for a month. I'd like to go to Israel this winter but it will depend on how finances are looking for colorguard, we will see. Other that... Christmas, Hannukah, and all the good stuff that comes with them before a new year and a new semester begin...

Add in some crazy classes and loads of fun and partying and that's going to be my Fall semester for freshman year in a nutshell :)

Go Procrastination! WOO! [02 May 2005|08:19pm]
[ mood | drained ]

Yeah I just finished the first of about 4 pages of a research paper due Wednesday for AP Lit... it was due Tuesday, but we harassed her until she pushed it back a day. Again. Hahaha, yes, go coercement!

Today wasn't a horrible day :P First hour was, well, early. But not bad. More reviewing. AP TEST TOMORROW AHHH. Actually I'm not worried about Calc, its the only one I know I'm going to pass for sure :P I got my final exam grade back in that class today. Perfect paper! YES! I think everyone hates me now. 105 out of 105, I was so excited! I think thats the main reason I feel so comfortable about this AP exam....

Drama was anything but dramatic... nothing ever happens in that class. BORING *falls asleep* We kinda read a script today, I kinda paid attention, and it kinda sucked :P Oh well, whatever. I'm telling her that I'm not paying attention tomorrow so I can study for my AP Stats exam. *stresses* I remember nothing from that class except how to read graphs haha. Oh well, I need to retake it in college anyway. I plan on being in school forever, whats one more class gonna do?

Gah okay, back to work, really need to get this wrapped up... I'll update more later...

What do you think?

Hmmm... [30 Apr 2005|02:21pm]
[ mood | lazy ]

Wow, it certainly has been a while... I've actually tried to post several times before this, but my computer always goes retarded when I try to post, so I usually just say forget it. I should actually be studying right now... or writing an essay for West *shivers* but I'm procrastinating instead... It's what I'm best at :P

So anyway, my life has been relatively crazy...

Guard season ended awesomely in Ohio in the beginning of April. 18th in the nation, pretty hott :)

It's been decided that I will not be going to Embry-Riddle in the fall, because they are cheap and do not offer full rides. Meanwhile, UCF has offered not only a full ride, but they've thrown in a free laptop, guarenteed 20 hour a week research job, guarenteed internships my junior and senior year, and about $550 a month living expenses... So yeah, I'll be in Orlando at UCF in the fall.

School has been driving me up a wall. AP tests are this week and next week, thus the reason I SHOULD be studying right now. I actually had to wake up before 8 this morning (boo to Saturday sleep deprivation) to go to Schultz's room for breakfast/AP Calculus review. Breakfast was good. Math was alright, I don't mind calculus too much. Schultz is a cool guy so it's all good. Skipped the Founder's Day Parade that I was supposed to be marching in so I could review. They did fine without me I'm sure :P

Grad Bash was last Friday.. the 22nd/23rd... BEST NIGHT EVER... Here are the basics:

Hanging out with old friends
3 Hours of Clubbing
Roller Coasters in the Dark
Their Bass Player flirting with me the whole concert

If you want all crazy details, go read about it in my blog on myspace (www.myspace.com/wahine987)

My dad is out in Nevada right now... Granddad was supposed to have surgery yesterday to get a Lung Cancer Tumor removed... Turns out they pushed it back til the end of May. Evidently the surgeon wasn't informed of what medications he was on... luckily they found out before they started the operation... he was on blood thinner so it would NOT have been good :( I'm just glad they found out in time... *sigh* So everyone wish him luck and keep him in your prayers if you pray... thanks!

Things with Cameron have been... interesting. We broke up a while back. Things were really akward for a while. But it's all good now. He's coming down for prom next week, its gonna be sooooooo much fun :D My dad is actually letting me stay in the hotel room with him... that totally surprised me.

Last night Cameron asked what I was doing and I said nothing and he asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner. I said "Sure, you going to come down here and take me out?"... And he said yes :D Him and Josh decided it was a good night to fly, so they got in a plane and flew down to North Perry Airport last night. I went and picked them up and we hit T.G.I. Friday's for dinner (an appropriate resturaunt lol). Dinner was yummy. I had chicken tenders and split a bowl of French Onion soup with Cam. Evidently I got him completely hooked on it when I took him to Bennigans last time he was down :P Go me! After dinner I took the guys back to the house and we watched The Forgotten, one of the movies my mom had picked up from Blockbuster for us to choose from. I'd already seen it, but they hadn't. It kinda freaked them out :P Especially Josh hehehe. After the movie I took them back to the airport and so ended our hangout night... It was so completely random, which made it even more awesome :) So much fun! Definitely need to do that again sometime... I love my Riddle guys!! <3 <3 <3

Well anyways, back to writing my AP Lit essay/relearning AP Stats... fun...

Love you all!

YAY :) [09 Mar 2005|07:04pm]
[ mood | giddy ]

So last weekend was extremely crazy, but awesome anyway...

Thursday after practice I was up until 1 trying to pack for the Tampa Regional... Then I had to get up at 5:30 the next morning to finish packing and get ready for school. I dragged all my stuff into the chorus hallway and guard rooms at about 7:15, which was the first time I've been at school early since I started driving :P Then I went through the boring tedium of school...

Practice started right after school, so we just counted fourth hour as part of practice... 1-5:30 or so. then we packed our stuff up and had a wonderful catered roasted chicken and mash potatoes and salad and rolls dinner courtesy of golden corral and Maggie's mom (whom we all love dearly now). Then we took showers and got dressed in our PJs to be comfy on the bus. Then we waited for the bus... and waited... and kept on waiting... We entertained ourselves by playing 3rd grade hand games ("where the bullfrogs jump from bank to bank") and telling random stories (the girls greatly enjoyed my band camp stories haha). Finally Marcazzo opened the Music Suite back up and we went inside to watch some videos of our guard back in the old days :P T-T and Mike went to Starbucks and we got coffee to warm us up and keep us awake... The bus finally got to school at 10pm... THREE HOURS LATE!!! Stupid bus broke down on the way to Cypress Bay (our bus buddies) so they had to send a new one and then go pick Cypess up and THEN us...

The trip to Tampa was interesting... I met a girl in Cypress who spells her name the same way I do (Catie) which was cool... But the bus was a PoS and the defroster was broken, so we had to pull over a bajillion times to make the windows to the point where the driver could see again. And to try to keep the windows from fogging up, he kept the AC on as cold as it could go the entire time. FREEZING. We didn't get to our hotel until almost 3:30AM... AHHHH... And then the hotel we were staying in was a COMPLETE DUMP. Not that any of us cared at that point. But two relatively large people in one double bed is pushing it, especially when I had my back brace on. So we finally got to sleep sometime after 4am...Only to wake up again at 7am. NO SLEEP... :( Breakfast and then we got ready for the competition. Left at 9 or so. Helped Cypress with their floor and props for their prelims performance and then started our warmups. Then we performed.

I had an AMAZING show :D We did reallllllly well and we made block!!! (That's the score they expect competitive teams to get at that point in the season.) We actually beat Taravella too, but they had a bad show so it didn't count... Still kinda cool though. So that was at 12:30pm, and our score let us make finals, so we had to perform again at 7pm. We hung out for a while, and then got a band parent from the HS we were at (Countryside HS) to let us have a dark hallway and we rested or slept... I couldn't sleep, too uncomfortable and noisy, but it was nice to just relax. Then we touched up on makeup and went back into warmups. Finals weren't as good as prelims... I think a lot of it was that two shows is REALLY hard to do on a good day, and we had only gotten about 3 hours of sleep so we were all physically and mentally and emotionally exhausted... But we still got an 81.2 :D Meaning we made block for finals also. We got 5th place in our class in finals, .9 behind Taravella, but they had a good run and we didn't, so it's all good. BEST NEWS EVER!!! OUR SCORE PUTS US IN 10TH PLACE IN THE NATION RIGHT NOW!!!! YAY!!!!

Awards ceremony didn't start until 11pm, so we got out of there at almost midnight. Then I got signed out by my parents and the family drove over to Orlando to stay in the Wilderness Lodge in Disney World. We got there at about 2:30am *yawn* and checked in. We got to our room to discover that there was one double-size bed in the room... and 4 of us, with back problems... was NOT going to work, so we called the manager to complain and got switched around so many times it was crazy. We finally got to stay in the 5th room we were put in, which was annoying, but the room was awesome. Two bedroom, two bath suite with a full kitchen and jacuzzi tub. But it was already 3:30am, so we just crashed. Woke up at 9:30am the next day (TOO EARLY) and checked out at 10:30... only 7 hours in such a nice room :(

We went to breakfast and then my parents and sister went to Magic Kingdom. I didn't feel like going, and much to my surprise, my parents let me stay in the hotel and wait for Cameron to drive over from Daytona. He got to the hotel and didn't see me cuz he was looking around at everything, not that I can blame him, it's a cool place :P So then big happy reunion and we exchanged gifts for our anniversary which was on March 1st :) I gave him a toy chopper (joke), a Zildjian t-shirt that he wanted, and a pretty glass colck with a heart pendulum and and egraving that said "Catie & Cameron (next line) March 1st, 2005" He really liked all of it so yay :) And ya know what he gave me? A necklace, and it's soooooooo pretty! It's white gold (my favorite) chain and heart with 10 little diamonds in it. So beautiful! I love it!

We hung out in the hotel for a bit and then drove over to Downtown Disney. It was fun, we walked around and into all the stores and I showed him how to get free chocolate at Ghiradelli :D Then we went to the Rainforest Cafe and had a nice (but kinda expensive :/ ) lunch, but I got 10% off for being an annual passholder, so yay for that :P Then we walked around a little bit more and bought tickets to go see Cursed at the movies there, and then I called my mom and she said no movies cuz they were leaving soon, so we returned the tickets (oops on my part there). Then we went back to the hotel and walked around a bit and I listened to Cameron tell me about he was the kind of kid that would have climbed up the waterfalls to try to slide down the stream into the pool :P We ended up on the "beach" behind the hotel and chilled out there for a while til my parents got back to the hotel and eat. Then we said our goodbyes and drove home, uneventfully.

Wow, it was a really long crazy weekend, but fun and rewarding, so it was completely worth getting less than 12 hours of sleep in 3 nights :P

It's been a while... [23 Feb 2005|08:59pm]
[ mood | exhausted ]

Yeah, I know what you're thinking, I'm lazy.... You're right. I've actually tried updating this a few times, but my internet conveniently freezes when I hit the submit button. So I'm here to give you the inside info on my life. Again.

Senior year is supposed to be easy. Blegh to that, I was stupid and made my life way more difficult than it needed to be. Too much work and the senioritis is getting to be both unbearable and inevitable. I'm slacking off so bad. I made it to National Merit Finalist standing, so yay to that.

Guard is crazy, more so this season than any other. "Internal conflicts" have been causing problems this year. Hayden is ALWAYS yelling at us, I hate it. People aren't trying hard enough. I'm not trying at all because an injury has put me on the bench for a while :( I screwed up my hip pretty badly, blegh. We are 2nd in South Florida in our class right now, to Taravella. They need to get bumped. I've been making tons of new friends in guard... I know half of the Flanagan World guard (especially Derek, I'm his prop buddy and I don't just know him, we're good friends now, yay!), I hung out with Pauleen and Katie from Olympic Heights at the Flanagan Competition... I know a few people from Braddock... Finally met up with Claudia from Medea/BAC, talking to Ruthie from Medea too... met Kat who was my favorite from NEI, now marching FIU... I'm getting to be a lot closer with Anthony, one of Jupiter's captains, yay! :D ... I know Julie, a captain from Douglas A, she's way cool... So many friends!

Cameron came down this past weekend! It was the first time I've seen him since mid-December, made me sooooo happy to see him again! Friday night when he came down, we went to Jerseys on Pines and hung out with a bunch of his VW friends... had some interesting conversations... went home and watched a movie. Saturday he had his car show and I had practice (that I didn't do anything at). He came to practice after the show to watch me not do anything. Then we came home and got cleaned up and went out on a date. It was our first date in the year that we've been going out! YAY! We went to Cold Stone for some ice cream and then went to the movies and saw Constantine... wasn't bad cept for the fact that the whole movie was a "don't smoke or you'll die" campaign, right up to the cheesy nicorette gum ending. But it was fun anyway, cuz I was finally on a date with Cameron. :D Sunday I dragged him to the Renaissance Fair, in costume... He didn't really want to go, but since I was going, he went and just complained about the costume and refused to take his sunglasses off no matter how much I begged. We are both determined to go back with Brian and Jay one time though, that'd be beyond hilarious. Afterward Cameron said he had fun, but he might have just been saying that to make me happy. We changed in the car and went to Friday's on the way home and FROZE it was so cold in there. Went home and watched a movie. Monday I went to go wake him up so he could get ready to leave and he flipped out and jumped like crazy... it was really funny but at the same time I felt really bad for scaring the living daylights outta him. Then we just cuddled for an hour :) before he had to leave :( I hate saying goodbye. I can't wait til I only have to say goodnight and not goodbye...

Anyways, thats my life at the moment... I'll prolly do another update on March 1st as an anniversary posting... One year for me and Cam so soon :D Laterz!

What do you think?

BLEGH [17 Jan 2005|09:25pm]
[ mood | exhausted ]

Okay so I wasn't going to redo this because LJ is being stupid, but I changed my mind.

School: I can't believe I wanted to go back. I hate hw, I hate AP Lit with a passion even if west is cool as a person, she gave us a book to read and 4 essays for this weekend. BLEGH

Guard: so guard's back, spent about 45 hours in guard last week. family night friday, met derek, he's ubercool! we did two runs... first run was good for me bad for the guard, 2nd was good for the guard but bad for me because I dropped both my solos :( Saturday was premier night... they split our class into 3 classes after scoring because there are so many of us, so now there's B, AA, and A, the latter being the best. we are one of 4 guards that made it into A class, so thats good. and we tied for 3rd place, which is great considering the circumstances. about halfway through our show, the music cut out and we had to finish our show without it. it was insane, but we made it through and did well enough to be considered nationally competitive, so this season should be alright :P

the last major part of my life, cameron: he was supposed to come down this weekend but the bank screwed him over and by the time i got my dad to agree to let him come down, Cam said it was too short of notice to work. :( both of us went back to school this week, and i went back to guard, and he started work today (i didnt know that until just now though) so we havent been able to talk much lately. Yesterday morning he came online for a few minutes and then said he was going back to sleep. that was all i heard of him yesterday, i called him a couple of times before i went to sleep but i guess he was busy because he didnt answer or call back. i didnt talk to him all of today either. he didnt IM me at all or return any phone calls. jay came on this afternoon and we talked for a bit and then i asked him if cameron was okay. he said he was fine, he was out til 5:30am last night and still just bummed about his car (he messed up the front end) but he was okay. well at least i knew he was still alive. cameron came on a while ago. he got kinda upset that i "checked up on him" with jay. i guess i understand that, i mean he has a mom, he doesnt need his girlfriend checking up on him too. but i hope that he would be worried about me if we hadnt talked in almost two days, if i hadnt been online when i'm online almost every day, if i hadnt answered or returned any phone calls in two days... i though he might have gotten sick again or that something might have happened... i dunno. i need to stop being so overprotective of him. its just that its so hard never seeing him... to stop talking altogether kills...

only 4 months and 12 days of this left. yes, i'm counting the days.

My X-mas [28 Dec 2004|12:43am]
[ mood | grateful ]

Well my Christmas turned out to be infinitely better than my Christmas Eve... I spent $60 on my mom rather than the usual 25 and that helped a bit... the extra day helped her cool off some too, so that was good.

Here's what I got:

MY IPOD!!!!!!! :D
Tons and tons of giftcards to places like B&N (rock on!), Charlotte Russe, Urban Planet, blockbuster, AMC, etc...
Return of the King Extended Edition (4 hrs 10 mins long :P)
Lord of the Rings Monopoly :)
A chinese dragon redwood wall hanging
A cute skirt from Lauren
The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking
A Fleece Blanket (comfy)
Victorias Secret stuff... (:P)
A cute necklace
Earings (two pairs)
Beads for hemp

And some other stuff that I'm prolly forgetting about at the moment :P But it was overall a very good Christmas for me, Santa treated me well :)

Heather and I had a date today :D I used my AMC giftcard and treated us to a movie and she used her Chili's giftcard for lunch/dinner. We saw Darkness. It was pretty weird and really good up unti lthe ending. The ending was: It ggets dark, everyone dies, the end :P Oh well, we had fun all the same. I was going to sleep over at her house but mom asid no :\ Oh well maybe next time...

Bolin's coming down next week for new years... yay!

*Finds a gun* [24 Dec 2004|11:12am]
[ mood | pissed off ]

Second time I'm writing this damn entry, power just went out....

Merry ****ing Christmas everyone. I hope that yours is infinitely better than mine. My mom and I have been fighting CONSTANTLY for the last three weeks over everything that there is to fight about. It just seems like she does stuff and says things just to piss me off. She doesn't know how to talk to me as a person, everytime she opens her mouth to talk to me, I feel as if shes talking down to me, as if shes trying her hardest to make sure that I feel like an insignificant speck of dirt who's only accomplishment in life has been dirtying her spotless tile floor. So we were fighting again yesterday of course and I was more pissed off then I've been in a while. My sister comes and tells me that I have to pick her up today from a friends house and take her to the mall so she can buy my mom a present. Well the fact that I was being told what to do by a 14 year old and the fact that I was already extremely pissed off at my mother combined quite nicely and I said something extremely stupid along the lines of "she doesnt deserve a present".... Well my sister being the inconsiderate jackass that she is, finds it appropriate to go and TELL my mother that I said this. So my dad comes in and wakes me up this morning telling me to get moving and do crap around the house and if my mom tells me to do something, just do it, because she's already crying that I said she doesn't deserve a present. I swear I was within 2 seconds of driving to Lauren's friend's house, dragging Lauren out by her hair and beating the living daylights out of her. I could not believe she would tell mom that, its just STUPID. Granted, me saying it in the first place was equally stupid, especially saying it to my sister who is known throughout the family for her huge mouth. GAH. So now my mom is avoiding me at all costs, so I can't even talk to her about anything and try to work it out so our Christmas isn't completely ruined. Too late.

PLEASE someone just find a gun and kill me now, I'd rather die than have to go through Christmas this year.....

Have Fun!!! [17 Dec 2004|09:28pm]
[ mood | amused ]

Instructions: Shuffle your playlist of choice & pick a favorite line from the first 20 songs that play. then have everyone guess which songs they are!

1) Weak hands are calling

2) Leave a reminder here that I am not alone

3) Maybe some things will be better in the end

4) I said I'm not coming back, but I'm coming back, and you better be alone...

5) Throw away your fancy clothes

6) Smell the burning embers

7) I am thinking its a sign that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images and when we kiss they're perfectly aligned.

8) And if that mockingbird don't sing and that ring dont shine, I'm gonna break that birdie's neck

9) Nothing to kill or die for

10) Life is a waterfall, we drink from the river then we turn around and put up our walls

11) There is so much love in me, even though its hard to see

12) I'm gonna be like you dad, you know I'm gonna be like you

13) The loss of friends you didn't have...

14) Can I just be something, somewhere in your room

15) Take my hand, we're off to Never-Never Land

16) And you can bring me to my knees

17) You think you'd learn over these years, good things won't last forever

18) The truth is you could slit my throat, and with my one last gasping breath I'd apologize for bleeding on your shirt

19) My knuckles have turned to white, theres no turning back tonight, so kiss me one last time

20) I could wave my arms and swim away, but never reach the shore

Lets see who can figure out all of them out first! If Cameron ever came on and read this, I'm sure he'd get almost all of them without Googling, but you are all lucky since he never reads my journal :P So go for it!

Riddle [13 Dec 2004|09:34pm]
[ mood | content ]

Just got home from Daytona not too long ago. This weekend was great, I got to meet Sean and Wyman and Mike and Cam's ex-manager at A&F... Some of the people that he's always talking about that I'd never met before. They all seem really cool. We (my mom and I) drove up yesterday morning and got there at about 1... Cam met us at the hotel and helped us get our stuff into the room and then we went over to Chanute (his apartment) and met up with Jay, Bryan, and Josh. Finally got to see where the guys live and spend all of their time playing video games instead of studying hehe. Turns out Jay and I have LOADS in common, he had a TON of Chinese stuff on his half of the bedroom, a lot of the same stuff that I have in my room, not to mention Jay's into all the same books I like and etc... Anyways, my mom treated all of us to lunch at Johnny Rockets down by the beach, that was load of fun. Jay and Bryan got up and embarassed themselves doing the robot to "Stayin Alive," or Jay embarassed himself, Bryan just doesn't care hehe. We went back to Cam's apartment afterwards and watched Bryan and Jay play Halo2... "DEATH BECOME YE!" Then Cam and my mom and I went back to the hotel and chilled for a while so that we could get out of the house so Jay could get some studying done (he had finals today). Cam and I got into a 45 minutes long wrestling/tickle fight... I SO won... :P When we went back to the apartment, Jay had pulled a table from against the wall and set up the plates and bowls and glasses and lit some candles to put on the table. It was so cute (and so domestic, he's such a great housewife :P). The guys marinated and grilled some steaks, Jay sauteed mushrooms and made some baked potatoes, Cam did Mac & Cheese and some salads. It was a GREAT dinner, and the best part was that my mom and I didn't do a thing... The guys are awesome. After dinner we watched Matrix Reloaded, and then we had mini-Christmas with Cam and Jay. We gave the guys cookbooks and $50 Publix giftcard. My mom gave Cam a book of the worlds strangest aircraft. I gave him a calendar of jets, a caramel/milk chocolate godiva bar(which he loved :P) and a really awesome looking wolf statue kinda thing, since he's really into wolves (Jay got mad that I knew something about Cameron that he didnt lol). I got an awesome oriental red and silver candle holder for my room, since Cam's determined to decorate it for me :P He also gave me a $40 giftcard to Barnes & Noble... SO EXCITED! I was there last week and there are so many books that I want right now, so I'll have fun spending that :) Cam dropped us back off at the hotel that night at about 11:30... we had to leave so Jay could get some sleep so he'd be awake for finals.

We woke up pretty early today and got ready for our Campus Visit... Cam dropped by the hotel and we took my mom's Car into Riddle. Took the 10am tour (where we met Mike who introduced us to our tour guide). Pretty much the same as last time. I was supposed to take pics for Kyle, but I only took two the entire time, I'm pretty bad about that... Bryan was walking out of one of the buildings as we were walking up, wearing the same jeans he ALWAYS wears, the ones with the holes that get bigger every time he wears them. They are held together by duct tape (nectar of the gods evidently) and his boxers were showing through. The same boxers that were showing through the same holes in the same pants he was wearing yesterday, someone needs to hose that guys off or throw him in the pool or something, he needs a bath. :P Anyways he came up and locked arms with my mom while we were walking and succeeded in scaring some of the parents on the tour before leaving on his way to go chat with "The Devil" (financial aid). Tour finished, I talked to an admissions guy named Bj (talked to him on the online chat last week and he's trying to help me out some), then went to a financial aid presentation thingy, and then went to get lunch at a Chinese place in the student center. Cam knows the guy who works there (named Jack lol) and the guy gave us complimentary drinks and egg rolls and such, it's good to know people :P Finished lunch and went to the bookstore and I got a Riddle hoodie and a new binder, my old one's falling apart. Then we headed over to the mall and walked around for a while and went into the Chinese store that Cameron got me my present from, it was really cool. We went to a Wicks and Sticks and my mom got some stuff, and Cameron gots some Christmas tree smelling candles since Jay refuses to let a Christmas tree in the apartment, evidently he becomes Scrooge around the holiday time :P After that, we left... I hate saying goodbye, it's so hard, especially knowing that I might not see him again until the middle of February. But at least I got to see him again before he went home for winter break, I wasn't expecting to, and I had a great time. I love you sooo much Cameron!!!

Winter Break is just about here, only a week and a half left, I'm so excited. I think I'll be almost as happy to get out of Billings as I will be to graduate... We're all having a "No more Billings for an hour and a half every day" party over winter break :P On another note, I'm going up to Daytona Beach Sunday/Monday to "meet with counselors." Well, I really will be meeting with counselors, but I'm much more excited about going up and visiting Cameron before he goes home to NC for winter break. It's great because I didn't think I'd get to see him again until sometime in January or February, so YAY! Guard is going great, the show is going to be awesome this year, and I made dance line :D Ummmm that's about it, more later...

My Life [04 Dec 2004|03:24pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

That's right, it's that time of month where I actually get my butt on here to update...

Thanksgiving was absolutely amazing. Cam and I had a great time and we're back together after much talking...

School has been more crazy than ever. ONLY THREE MORE WEEKS OF BILLINGS!!! Amazing!

I GOT ACCEPTED TO RIDDLE!!! WOOHOO!!! I also got named a Riddle Scholar, which means I get $6,000 a year plus Bright Futures money, which means I only have to pay $20,000 a year instead of $30,000... *sigh* oh well, it will be worth it. I'll be getting a lot more after college if I go there than if I went somewhere else. Besides, I'll get to be with Cam :P

Winterguard has started... Deniece can't do it like we were hoping :( Too bad, it would have been crazy amounts of fun. The show is going to be awesome this year. We lost about 6 people from marching season, so we're back down to 18, but the 18 of us that are left are all pretty much willing to work toward a great season. We started writing the show on Tuesday, we have about a minute done and it's really cool so far. Very "outside Hayden's box" but extremely cool...

Last night was Elle's sweet 16. She was soooo purty! It was lots of fun. Most of the guard was there, as well as Amanda. Amanda made a toast to Elle announcing that today's practice was canceled. (Marcazzo screwed up.) It was pretty funny. I danced the whole night, mostly with Lucy :) The two of us are going to turn Daytona into "Freak Hell" if she comes to Riddle when she graduates, it's gonna be so awesome! .... That's right, she might come to Riddle! So excited! It's a good thing too! I don't know what I'd do without my Lucy!

Retook my SATs... No idea why :P Guess I'm trying to break 1500. I think I did really well in the math today, but reading was BLEGH. That's why I'm gonna be an engineer :P Ran into Sara while I was there. She was smart and left the party early . I figured that this doesn't really matter that much for me, so I just stayed the whole time... Didn't get to bed until about 2:30 cuz I was on the phone with Cameron til then :)

Well that's about it for now...

Hey again [21 Nov 2004|12:21am]
[ mood | indifferent ]

Haven't posted much of anything in a long time, so I'm just dropping by to provide a little sketch of the last several months of life.

Crazy as ever, not getting any less crazy until January... I can't wait to be done with Billings, she's driving me nuts. And I'm liking stats less and less every day. Chem has been going okay except for Slush being a jerk with my last make up test. So yeah, that's school, it's crazy and I skip more often than I should :P

Marching Season is officially done. We placed 2nd in our class at States. Our guard was 3rd in our class behind two world guards from Northern Florida. So on to winterguard... Should be an interesting season with West Boca, Taravella and Braddock this year. I have a feeling the 4 of us are going to be at eachother's necks all season... I got really mad at Hayden a few days ago. He was splitting the weapons up into rifle and sabre. He put Heather, our best sabre by far, onto rifle. She begged him to, but still. And he put me on sabre. I HATE SABRE WITH A PASSION. It hates me too. I get hurt by sabre a whole lot. It's not too much fun really. And rifle is my thing, I love rifle and he took me off it *cries* So anyways, I've decided that if I'm going to be stuck on this God forsaken piece of metal for the whole season my senior year, I'm not going to let anyone even question who is the best sabre on the line. I'm going to completely kick @$$ on it this season. Hopefully I'll get some kind of solo or something this season. i've never had one before, it would be nice to get one my senior year... So yeah, I'm going to have my 6 relatively consistent by the end of winter break that way he can trust me for a solo in the show. Sorry to Meag, Alyssa, Lucy and Madison, but I'm determined to be the best.

Don't ask! I'm just as confused as everyone else is! Yes, Cameron and I got in a huge fight and I was really pissed off for a while as many of you know, but we worked things out. Yes, Cameron came to states and yes, I had an amazing time with him, Jay, and Brian. Yes, Cameron is staying in my house for 3 days for Thanksgiving this week. No, I have no idea what my dad is smoking that would allow me to have Cam stay here lol.

As crazy as everything else has been this year, I've still managed to have more of a life than I usually am able to. More parties this year, I was actually allowed out until 2 on Homecoming also. Just got back from a party actually. Having a car is really nice, I'm allowed to do more when my parents don't have to worry about who's going to pick me up at midnight :P Tonight was pretty good. I got to know Nicole a little better, which is nice since I barely know any of the new guard people still lol. Hung out with my freshman buddy Kevin from percussion, he's a pretty cool little kid. Talked with Chris and Mike about time warps lol they are such nerds. Watched Elle and Chris mack it on the chair in Meg's living room while I was *trying* to watch Bruce Almighty. Smelled someone smoking something either on the patio or upstairs (stupid), don't know which, don't really care. Listened to people talk about how they wanted to get drunk (stupid). Heard that someone walked in on two people doing it upstairs (stupid), I woulda kicked them outta my house SO fast. Drove a few feet with Kevin sitting on my hood before he jumped into a tree. Got really confused in Embassy Lakes and drove like I'm British... scary stuff right there. Passed a cop three seconds later *heart pounding* Wow so yeah, interesting night...

As the great weather guru once said: [15 Sep 2004|09:05pm]

"Would someone please turn off the hurricane switch?"
-Max Mayfield, NHC Director

Jean is coming... fun stuff... lets see where this one ends up :\ Maybe everyone at ERAU will get another week off lol. I think everyone up there should get a refund for the first semester and just come back in January :P

Anyway... Got my Billings test back today... I got a 70!!! Its the first time in my life that I've ever been so excited about a C-, extremely pathetic in my opinion. When you take aggregate Billings errors with total extra credit factored in, you get the ATG or actual test grade of 82... WOOHOO!!! Shes poisoning my brain and I'm still failing! AHHH!!!

They were supposed to make the National Merit Semifinalists thing public today, so I suppose its not confidential anymore. In that case:

Okay enough of that, the paperwork was a pain in the butt and the essay took HOURS to write.

L'SHANA TOVA TIKATEVU to all of the other Jews out there... May you have a sweet new year!

Well that hurricane was incredibly retarded and not worth my time or the cancellation of all of my birthday plans... That bitch. So I pushed everything back to this weekend. And then Ivan's all like "why aren't I invited?" so he decided to crash my party this weekend so we're probably pushing the plans back AGAIN. Retarded.

Anyway, I enjoyed my 6 day weekend. Actually, it completely sucked. >:( The only good part was that I got an extra day to do everything for Billings. I've decided that this was all her fault. She made Frances come. She must have, since she knew that we weren't going to have school Thursday, Friday, or today. And she gave us work for all of that, so we all had 50 pages of reading and summarizing to do for her this weekend. I HATE THAT CLASS.

Oh well. That's about it. Thanks to everyone that wished me Happy Birthday this weekend... I hope I get presents in school tomorrow :P Back to my sulking and stalking of Ivan. I swear I'm going to go nuts if he comes near here. I'll import some glaciers from Canada and drop them all around Florida so that when a hurricane gets near us, it immediately dissipates... Now how to get those glaciers down here....

Well I now have two journals. This will be my public one. The other one has everything thats interesting, and before you ask... no, you can't have the address to that one. Sorry! Anyway...

*starts singing*
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday, F*CK FRANCES,
Happy Birthday to me :)
*stops singing*

Lucy made me brownies and dropped them off today... I'm gonna gain 5 pounds, but it made my birthday 5 pounds better... Thanks! I love you! About half the guard either came online and wished me happy birthday or called to tell me happy birthday. And that's why I love the guard :D
